Life force energy (KI) animates all living things. When your life force is low or restricted in its flow, you will be more vulnerable to illness. Reiki heals by flowing through a person's energy pathways (chakras, meridians, nadis), releasing energy blockages, and raising a person's vibrational energy. Reiki is both powerful and gentle. It is also a simple technique that can be easily learned by anyone.

During a Reiki session, the recipient lies, fully dressed, on a massage table. The practitioner gently places her hands on certain areas of the body as she channels the healing energy. People usually feel slight heat where the hands are placed, and sometimes subtle pulsations of energy.
